Welcome to the Isle of Wight Cats Protection website.

From humble beginnings in 1927, Cats Protection has grown to become the UK's leading feline welfare charity. Your local Isle of Wight Adoption Centre was formed in 1961 and has been successfully helping on average 500 cats and kittens every year. It's hard to believe this little island (of approx 18 miles by 21 miles) has such a large cat population. With your support we can continue to care and help find new homes for the islands cats and kittens.

Do you love cats but are unable to commit to having one full time then check out our  Temporary homes needed page!

We provide an array of cat care information via our publications, website, Facebook and Helpline; promote the benefits of neutering to prevent unwanted litters from being born and becoming the abandoned cats of tomorrow and seek to educate people of all ages about cats and their care. You too can help us raise our profile all over the island, to find out more ring our reception.

You can keep up to date with all that's going on at the centre by visiting our social media pages;
