We work hard to find loving new homes for local cats in our care, offer support with neutering, and encourage general feline education and awareness on the Isle of Wight.

CP cats are health checked, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and come with 4 weeks FREE Pet Plan insurance.
Our homing process is designed to help find the right cat for you and the right home for each of our cats. You can apply for any of our cats featured below, either online, via the 'Contact Us' button at the bottom of each cat's profile, or request a Home Finder questionnaire to be emailed to you. Just email isleofwight@cats.org.uk or call us T:03000 120251 during reception hours: 10am - 12 noon and 1pm - 4pm (closed Tuesdays).
Please note if you are in rented accommodation you will need written permission from your landlord to adopt a cat/kitten.

If you're unsure about which cat is right for you, why not let us help you decide. Simply click the Cat Matchmaker option (within the list of cats up for adoption) and we'll help you find the perfect match.
Ensuring the best fit for your household and home
Once we’ve received your completed form, we use Google maps to give us an idea of your location and the suitability for the particular cat you’re considering. A home on a very busy road, for example, may not be suitable for an outdoor cat, so an indoor cat may be better. Where a location is not visible on Google maps, we may request a home visit.
We ask for brief details of your household members and pets since we know they are important factors to consider when adopting a cat. All our cats' web profiles include information about their suitability for bonding with other animals and children. (If you have a dog, we do ask you to bring it in to meet your prospective cat to ensure compatibility).
Meeting your prospective cat (video calls may be offered for mainland enquiries)
We will follow-up with a call to give you the chance to ask any questions about the cat you're interested in. We will then welcome you to our Centre for a meet-and-greet with your cat. (At this stage we would be grateful if you could bring proof of ID showing your home address and, if applicable, written permission from your landlord).
Collecting your cat
After preparing for your new arrival, we kindly request that you adopt your cat within seven days of meeting him or her. To help get you started, we have supplies of carriers, beds, trays, toys and food available for purchase, with all profits going towards the care of our cats.
Adoption fee
Our adoption fee is £110 per kitten (aged up to 6 months) and £90 per adult. A fee will be charged as per the age of the cat on the day of reservation. Payment is payable on collection of your cat and can be made by cash, card or cheque.
Further support
We believe that adopting a cat is the beginning of a lifelong relationship, and we are here to support you every step of the way. We will contact you about 7 days after adoption to ensure that you and your cat are settling well, and we are always available by email or phone to answer any questions.

Cat Foster Carers - Urgent!
Would you love to share your space with a purring companion, but not quite ready for the long-term commitment? As a Cat Foster Carer, you could enjoy the companionship of a cat or kittens temporarily, providing them with a loving, safe space until they find their forever homes. Not only will you have the chance to make a real day-to-day difference to the cats in your care, you'll also play a critical role in their journey towards a happier life. All expenses are covered by us, and we offer full support and training to set you up for success Your role will include feeding, grooming, socialising and play, and ensuring their living area is clean and comfortable. All you need provide is a safe home, some spare time, and a whole lot of love for cats.

Cat Care Volunteers
Our Cat Care Volunteers are part of a team that look after our cats whilst they’re in our care at our Centre. This is a truly unique opportunity for cat lovers, as our Cat Care Volunteers get to spend time directly with the cats when cleaning their pens, helping with feeding, grooming, socialising (and of course the occasional lap-time cuddle) before they find their forever homes.
As a Cat Care Volunteer, you will develop new skills, expand your knowledge of cat welfare and behaviour, whilst making a vital contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens in need by helping care for them before they find their forever homes. You will also meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. We’re looking for someone with a love of cats and some experience in looking after a cat and a willingness to be part of a team of like-minded people.
Full training will be given, and all we ask is a weekly commitment to start at 8:30am for a minimum of two hours.
